Catching up Post 1...

As the title suggests, we are a little behind on the timeline with our posts.  Taking a two week trip will do that to you.  Here we have a nice photo of the boys listening to their father read a story.  Normally, Eric would prefer to read the newspaper during his morning coffee, but the boys insisted this was just as good since it was in black and white.  The book off to the side: "Big Brothers Don't Take Naps" is a special book.  Two brothers, the older with brown hair and the younger with blonde, go about their daily lives.  They participate in many of the same activities that Dom and Will do.  In the end they share the big secret:  A baby sister!  Naturally, I changed all of the names.  I've done this from time to time, but for the first time, Dominic realized it.  The smile on his face when he caught on to what I was doing was pretty precious.

We did a science experiment about the five senses a few weeks ago.  William kept taking off his handkerchief until I told him he couldn't eat the treats at the end.  His hands never went near it again.  For this experiment I placed peanuts, M&Ms, raisins, marshmallows, and chocolate chips in each of 5 plastic eggs.  The boys shook them, smelled them, touched them, tasted them and looked at them.  I should have put the handkerchiefs on at the very beginning as Will discovered the hole at the bottom of the egg.  He could see the brightly colored M&Ms.  Dom was more willing to play along.  The only one they had a problem identifying was the marshmallows.  Until they got to touch them on the way to their mouths...

And here is the obligatory picture of Molly.  She has wonderfully bright eyes that light up even more when she sees you.  She is truly a delightful addition to our family.   She turns 10 months on Saturday.  Hard to believe how quickly this year is going by.
