Mother's Day revisited

I had a wonderful Mother's Day.  We got up early and went to Mass and then spent the day just relaxing.  It is a common theme among moms I know that really what they want to do on Mother's Day is have a little alone time.  Or a lot of alone time depending how the previous day went....
Eric respects this wish and allowed me a couple of hours of quiet in our room.  While I napped the reasons for the day did their own separate activties:

After everyone had their quality alone time, we came back together as a family to enjoy the beautiful day.  The kids painted me a flower pot, which I will treasure for the rest of my days.  Dom picked out pink impatients to plant in it and I think that is a perfect choice.  Will picked out some heart shaped earrings for me which I wore proudly all day.  Molly gave me lots of hugs and kisses and almost made it through Mass without having to be taken out.  Almost.

The kids looked so cute and serious painting the flower pot, I hope you will excuse the extra pictures.

After they finished with the pot, there was still a little paint, so they went to town on some paper grocery bags.  Which I will need to remember to use in the future for excellent painting canvases.
It really was one of the best Mother's Days I have ever had.  And I loved all of the presents.  Especially the three that I started collecting 7 years ago.

You know, they could do this every year and you'll get a collection! What a great mothers day gift. They are precious!
