Atlanta (Day 3)

On Sunday morning we took one more dip in the hotel pool.  Molly is a total water baby.  She just jumps in without any fear.  On the first afternoon, there was another boy about her age clinging to his mom and his parents kept trying to convince him he could let go 'just like that little girl'.
All of the kids preferred method of playing was jumping into the water and then immediately getting out to do it again.
Jeff provided a small adaption to this activity.
After a quick walk in the park (which was really great and I'm glad we got to at least experience it one of the days we were in town), we headed to the ball park, Turner Field.
We had been warned that it would be miserable sitting at a Braves game on a Sunday afternoon in August, but we found seats in the shade and there was a pleasant breeze, so it really wasn't too bad.
Dominic became the Braves' biggest fan.  I think the tomahawk chop helped and it was pretty cool to hear the drums start and see everyone stand up to do the chop during critical moments of the game.
For a 2-year-old, Molly did and incredibly good job of sitting for 7 innings of the game (we got there as the 2nd inning was starting and left just at the beginning of the 9th to beat the crowds)
Will photobombing one of my several attempts to get a good picture of Dom doing the chop.
He'd perfected it by the end.
The game was very exciting.  The best part was a 3 run homer in the 5th inning (I think).  I loved watching how excited Dom got.  Will and Molly didn't care so much about the game as where their next shelled peanut was coming from.

We left the game and headed back to Florida.  Both Molly and Will were asleep within 10 minutes of being in the car.  Of course, that didn't last, but we made the 5 hour trip back with no stops and Molly only started complaining in the last 20 minutes of the trip...when you really don't want to stop.  At the end of it all, we had a really great time and look forward to our next mini-vacation somewhere in the southeast.
