Now before I get too far, let me address that all of these pictures are from my collection. Megan took a million bajillion...but, she can post them to her blog! They are great and way better than mine, but this post will never be written if I don't just post the ones I have easy access to. This also means...I don't have any that Eric may have taken. Mea Culpa! This also means...I have several of me and only one of Eric. He was only at the house for two days and was sick most of that time. Quite the beach vacation for him.
Despite scary weather forecasts leading into the weekend, we had beautiful weather the majority of the time. We also had a pool at the house, which was utilized quite a bit. (Push Megan to post her pictures of the pool)
Molly loves having Aunt Megan do her hair. Well, she loves it after it is done. One could get confused with the cries of discomfort during the process.
We all took turns with cooking and clean up. Dom was super excited to show off his taco making skills. Though, I do believe this is him making the Mexican rice. Also good! (I now remember, I disappointed him a bit by making chicken tacos...his expertise is in beef tacos) Also, after 4 years of doing this, we just about nailed it with the food planning. Sadly, some ice cream was disposed at the end...it was just a bridge too far.
I can't help it, I love catching my kids looking out at the ocean.
The water was beautiful. We lucked out, as the day we left, the flags switched to red and stayed there for several day.
Our boys with their cousins. John and Zach, Will and Ben.
And Grandpa and John walking to the beach for a sunset.
The many takes of catching my children exuberantly running across the sand...I had a little trouble with the shadows...
These kids have become pretty good sports about this annual event. I try to go as quickly as possible.
See earlier remark about catching my kids looking out at the ocean...I mean...sooooo gooooood!
It was a delight to have Mitzi here for our Buschelman vacation. She and I have such a great time together cracking each other up. We were not particularly close as little kids (caveat: we absolutely were physically close, sharing a bedroom for 15 years), but she and Katie are my best friends and have been for over a decade. Thanks, Mom and Dad!
Me and my girl.
And me and the only son that tried the entire time to smile nicely for the camera. He is my favorite. ;)
When we were not on the beach, we were at church, at The Track, or just hanging out together at the beach house.
I love beach vacations. They are so easy! You just need to pack a swimming suit, towel, and sunscreen. Ok, there are a few other items you probably would want also, but you can make do with very little. My apologies for not having more pictures. But, perhaps you heard...we moved. And I have gotten a little off track with this blog. Hopefully, I can get up a few posts this week and get back on track.
