But, Sunny Days and Fridays always put me in a much better mood. Who knew that the weather had such an effect on me? Luckily, we have been having some wonderful weather and the kids and I have spent a lot of time outside.
A couple of weeks ago, we went to Wegerzyn Gardens which is a wonderful metropark in our area. They have a children's garden which has many areas for the kids to view different plants and flowers. They also have a water area that the kids can play in. Unfortunately, I did not know that it would not be open the day we went.
This did not stop the children from dreaming or running around in their swimming suits. Actually the swimming suits came in handy when the boys found a sprinkler in a different part of the park.
And as the water area was closed, we spent much more time than usual exploring other parts of the children's garden. We even got to see tadpoles and frogs in a pond. Nature! (think Will Ferrell doing his impersonation of Robert Goulet)
And with the warm weather comes watermelon! Dom would eat this all day long. Though they are supposedly seedless, there are a few still present in the slices. We are practicing our spitting techniques.
Oh, and Molly likes watermelon, too.
