Ok, not really, but I do love watching Dom play. His season ended last Saturday. He never scored another goal, but he came so close on several occasions. And he constantly amazed me with his energy level throughout a game.
He has pretty good focus for his age. Especially in the last couple of games where the temperature was in the 80s, Dom played to the last minute when you could see the other players really dragging. I made friends with another player's family. She was by far our best player, so I asked how many seasons she had played and found out this was her 4th. Her family was very complimentary of Dom though and always made a point to cheer for him and give him high fives. I was very grateful, even if Dom was embarrassed by the extra attention from strangers.
Eric also enjoyed his time as coach. It's a shame we won't be here next year so he can do it again, but they will surely have clubs wherever we go. I grew to really love watching our team. I know it wasn't suppose to be competitive, but man, it was great to watch them figure out how to play some of the teams with more experienced players. But, don't worry, I kept my trash talking to a minimum. I'll save that for the 8-year-old league play.
After the games, we all came home and transformed into our super-hero selves. These two defenders of liberty are both showing you their "mean" faces. Watch out. I believe Spider-Girl was taking her super nap for the day at the time of this picture. Therefore, these two got to practice being super heroes in stealth mode.
