William has had a big year! He started it out fighting a stomach bug with his brother Dom. After a few days of dragging around the house, he was back to his usual tricks.
He attended pre-school lessons with his brother. He did a great job of learning his letters and his numbers. He can count just about to 100 and due to an impromptu math lesson while make chocolate roll-ups, he knows 2 + 2 = 4. He just informed me of this yesterday, in fact.
He has matured quite a bit and has developed his thought process to the point that he can get us to agree with him in spite of our better judgement.
He and Dom are each other's best friends. A friendship that has really flourished in the last year. And he and Molly have a special relationship that is starting to blossom. I look forward to seeing how it develops over this next year.
He is our big joker. I love telling "William" stories...after the fact. He can be extremely frustrating in the moment!!
He was introduced to Mario Kart around Christmas and I recently discovered that he has surpassed my (admittedly limited) skill. He was winning races and I was barely cracking the top 5. Obviously, they played way too much during the heat wave we had recently. And I have not played enough...
During the course of the year, Will would take the camera and we would discover all sorts of fun pictures. Including the above.
Will enjoys learning about all sort of things, but particularly about the planets. He is quite interested in Jupiter. Just the other day he was spinning in the living room and he would change his speed of rotation depending on the planet he was imitating. I appreciate this a lot more in the comfort of my own home as opposed to the pew of our church.
William is always up for an adventure, and will get very upset if he thinks he is missing out on something. This includes wrapping his own birthday presents!!
In the last year, William has learned how to pedal and how to be a good sport. We are still working on it, but I am proud of both boys when we play "Sorry" and neither cries. Now, if I could just learn how to do that...
William is a problem solver on so many levels. He loves mazes and other puzzles. I am amazed at how much he is able to accomplish independently. And his imagination never stops. Ever.
It has been another wonderful year with William in our lives. I am so glad that God blessed us with you. We love you and look forward to all of your antics in the coming year!!

Hard to believe that it was 4 years ago when Dominic and I came to visit you in the hospital. Happy Birthday, William.
Great post, Liesel. Will should save this for future resumes. :)
