Fall has finally arrived in the panhandle. It is a beautiful sunny cool day. The perfect day to be outside. Yesterday, Dom was sick so the kids spent quite a bit more time in front of the television than usual. Luckily, 2/3rds of them understand this was a one-off. Luckily, the other third is generally up for anything.
With defeats of Bowser fresh in their minds, it did not take long for them to recreate memorable battles in our backyard. Which quickly led to them finding costumes.
Will provides the theme music as they hop, skip, and jump around our yard. He is such a method actor.
My one contribution to this afternoon's event was suggesting they use our Hoberman Sphere as the bubble that they so frequently utilize in the video game. Naturally, they loved it. Bonus, they can't accidentally bubble at the same time and lose the game..as we only have the one sphere.
The kids have also switched from baseball and soccer to sort of a combination of the both on brooms: Quidditch!
Listening to Will explain to Molly exactly how to play was fantastic. He and she had practiced flying on our brooms a couple nights before, so I should have known it was only a matter of time before a game of quidditch commenced in the backyard.

I took this picture of Molly and Will was so impressed at how she really looked like she was flying, he had to get one as well. Let's be honest...he's easily impressed. But, his imagination knows no bounds. He is generally the instigator of all of these make believe games. Eric and I just laugh and grab the cameras to capture it.
Meanwhile, John finds his own activities to keep busy. He successfully completed a shape puzzle the other night. Clearly, he is a genius just like his siblings. Oh, and he has also added "choo choo" to his vocabulary. Thomas is back in the house!
