We live in Florida close to the Gulf. John was born here, maybe that is why he has a love for all things water? Or it is just because he is 3? At any rate, his latest favorite thing is to participate in anyone and everyone's bathing habits. Most especially his brothers' showers. Last night, he eagerly disrobed to jump in with Will which was convenient as he had taken a peanut butter sponge bath at lunch. Where the sponge was the bread.
This morning, he heard the shower go and ran joyfully towards the bathroom as Dom started his cleansing ritual. I told him he didn't need to take another shower as he had just bathed last night. Ultimately, I just don't want to deal with the fight when the party is over. He would stay in the bathtub all day if I would let him.
He looks at me and defiantly goes: Mom! Say, YES!
Clearly he thinks I am weak-minded. I am not weak-minded.
He didn't appreciate me laughing at him and his premature Jedi mind tricks. I walked away, only to hear the tell tale sound of a diaper being removed. There was my little, previously pajama-clad, headstrong son, completely naked, running as fast as his legs would carry him while giggling maniacally towards the bathroom.
