Two days ago, Dom took a couple of tentative crawls forward. Yesterday, he got a little braver and went even further. Today, he is cruising around rooms like he's been doing it all of his life. He is very curious, as apparently babies are want to be, and has no qualms about checking out what is behind every door, piece of furniture, or random item on the ground. Oh, yeah, he can open drawers, too! The great thing is how proud he is of his accomplishments. If he sees us looking at him, his look of determination at getting to wherever he had attended, melts into a look of pure glee as he knows that we will have to work harder to keep him contained. Or maybe he is just excited that he can follow us if we leave a room, or meet us half-way when we enter a room. Yesterday, I had him on our bed as I was tying my shoes on the floor. He looked over the bed trying to find me and then started to laugh when he realized he had the high ground. It became a game as he would scoot back and then look over again to see if I was still in my inferior position. Instinct tells me that the stress of being a parent (and the fun) are about to get a big boost. And I'm looking forward to it!
We've posted some new pictures in the online album, so you'll have to go there as the internet is running slow, and with a mobile child I don't have time for them to upload to this post. Enjoy!!
